RN Unit Manager

Charlotte Health & Rehabilitation Center has an exciting opportunity for a Unit Manager, RN in our 90bed skilled rehab center in Charlotte.

The Unit Manager will oversee clinical operations of the unit and is responsible for staff supervision of nurses and CNAs, as well as interfacing with physicians, QI reporting and follow-up, and providing clinical expertise to staff as needed. This unit provides care for our most clinically acute patients and residents. Typical hours are Monday through Friday day shift, with some weekend and on-call duties.

Requirements:

•Current license by the North Carolina Board of Nursing to practice as a Registered Nurse.
•Minimum three to five years of experience as an RN, preferably in long term care.
•Comprehensive knowledge of federal and state regulations as they relate to long term care.
•Nursing Management experience preferred.
•BSN preferred.

CNA 7a-3p and 11p-7a Casual/Every other Weekend

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides direct care to the residents of the health and rehabilitation center, assisting them in activities of daily living under the direction and supervision of a professional nurse. Those duties include but are not limited to: bathing, dressing, serves and collects food trays, feeds residents, measures and records weight, temperature, blood pressure, pulse and respiration rates, and food and fluid intake and output as directed.

 

Qualifications:

Must have current North Carolina Nurse Aide license in good standing or be within 100 days of completion of state approved CNA course.

Transport Driver Tuesday and Thursday

Charlotte Health and Rehab is seeking qualified individuals to join our growing team as Patient Transport Driver.

What you'll do

  • Drive the company wheelchair van to transport residents to various appointments

  • Assist patients entering/exiting vehicle and operate wheelchair lifts/ramp

  • Maintain vehicle cleanliness, complete pre/post-trip inspection, and report maintenance needs.

  • Document trips, maintain logs, and communicate with staffing coordinator.

  • Follow infection control procedures, including cleaning and sanitizing vehicle.

  • Provide courteous, respectful, and professional service at all times.

What you need

  • Clean driving record

  • Active certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant is preferred but not required

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 

  • Experience working with patient's or seniors, (Preferred)

  • Highly organized and detail oriented. 

  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Business Office Manager

Charlotte Health & Rehabilitation Center in Charlotte, North Carolina is actively seeking a Business Office Manager to complement our outstanding management team! The ideal candidate will be a top-notch professional with impeccable attention to detail and superior customer service. This is a Department Head position and reports directly to the facility Administrator.

 

The Business Office Manager is responsible for:

  • Maintenance of necessary billing and financial information on resident business files.
  • Maintenance of individual resident trust accounts and reconciliation of collective accounts monthly.
  • Month-end closing and corporate reporting.
  • Collection efforts with Business Office staff, including warrant in debts.
  • Knowledge of reimbursement system, allowable services and documentation required so billings are accurate.
  • Accurate records of payer sources, appropriate record keeping, and communication with residents regarding bills.

 

Required Experience:

  • Technical knowledge of Inpatient Skilled Nursing, Managed Care and long-term care billing for Medicare and Medicaid.
  • One to two years’ experience in accounts receivable or bookkeeping is preferred in the long-term care or healthcare industry.
  • Experience managing staff members, including bookkeepers and receptionists.
  • Knowledge of basic office equipment & Microsoft Office required. Knowledge of billing software preferred.
  • Good interpersonal skills needed to effectively work with residents, families, and outside agencies.

 

Education requirements: two-year degree of college level accounting courses. A four-year college degree preferred.
