Speech Therapist PRN

Maintenance Director

Charlotte Health & Rehabilitation Center in Charlotteis recruiting for a Maintenance Director for a 90 bed skilled nursing center.

The Maintenance Director maintains preventive maintenance schedules using Building Engines, Electronic facility Management system. Repairs physical structures, maintains utility systems of building, and maintains grounds. Supervises support staff and contractors as applicable. Installs, services, and repairs mechanical equipment.

Education: High School Diploma or GED

Licensure: Valid driver’s license

Experience and/or Pre-requisites

  • Two years’ experience in Maintenance in a commercial setting, Healthcare experience preferred.
  • Possesses the knowledge and skills necessary to diagnose and repair the above systems.
  • Must be CFC certified in refrigeration Type I minimum within 6 months of hire date.

As the ABOM, you will assist the Business Office Manager with all business office functions including billing, accounts receivable, and resident trust fund management. What You'll Do

  • Assist the BOM in completion of all business office functions and assume responsibility for the business office in the absence of the BOM.

  • Assist in all functions of resident fund management including accurate accounting, maintenance, and security of patient funds.

  • Complete timely follow-up on outstanding account balances for all payer sources.

  • Assist the BOM with end-of-month closing processes to ensure timely and accurate billing of all accounts.

  • Accurately document updates for all accounts regularly.

  • Other duties as needed for the successful operation of the center.

 

What You Need

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.

  • Experience in healthcare accounts or business office services preferred.

RN Unit Manager

Charlotte Health & Rehabilitation Center has an exciting opportunity for a Unit Manager, RN in our 90bed skilled rehab center in Charlotte.

The Unit Manager will oversee clinical operations of the unit and is responsible for staff supervision of nurses and CNAs, as well as interfacing with physicians, QI reporting and follow-up, and providing clinical expertise to staff as needed. This unit provides care for our most clinically acute patients and residents. Typical hours are Monday through Friday day shift, with some weekend and on-call duties.

Requirements:

•Current license by the North Carolina Board of Nursing to practice as a Registered Nurse.
•Minimum three to five years of experience as an RN, preferably in long term care.
•Comprehensive knowledge of federal and state regulations as they relate to long term care.

The ideal candidate will be a top-notch professional with impeccable attention to detail and superior customer service. The Business Office Manager is responsible for:

  • Maintenance of necessary billing and financial information on resident business files.
  • Maintenance of individual resident trust accounts and reconciliation of collective accounts monthly.
  • Month-end closing and corporate reporting.
  • Collection efforts with Business Office staff, including warrant in debts.
  • Knowledge of reimbursement system, allowable services and documentation required so billings are accurate.
  • Accurate records of payer sources, appropriate record keeping, and communication with residents regarding bills.

Required Experience:

  • Technical knowledge of Inpatient Skilled Nursing, Managed Care and long-term care billing for Medicare and Medicaid.
  • One to two years’ experience in accounts receivable or bookkeeping is preferred in the long-term care or healthcare industry.
  • Experience managing staff members, including bookkeepers and receptionists.
  • Knowledge of basic office equipment & Microsoft Office required. Knowledge of billing software preferred.
  • Good interpersonal skills needed to effectively work with residents, families, and outside agencies.

Education requirements: two-year degree of college level accounting courses. A four-year college degree preferred.
